Making dessert
Ben and I went for a 5k run before breakfast. Afterwards, he and Penny went to Sainsbury's to buy food for dinner. Penny spent the afternoon making Apple pie for tonight's dessert. Jack went to London to meet his school friend Rohan. I went to Kingston to buy some jumpers and socks for Jack to take back to University. Ten pairs of socks at SportsDirect for £4.49.
I'd borrowed Bibi's Adidas Stan Smith trainers to go shopping. They were so comfortable that I decided I would like a pair myself. I was about to buy them but thought I would check with Bibi first in case she didn't want me to have the same shoes as her. It's a good job I checked. She didn't want time to buy them.
When I got home it was nearly 6:30pm and I had half an hour to tidy up the dining room before Charise, Alan, Matilda and Florence came over for dinner.
Shortly after dinner, Bibi stared complaining about chest pains. She'd mentioned it earlier on in the day but she said that it was much worse. After discussing it for a while, I decided to call 111 for some advice. I handed over the phone to Bibi so that she could describe the pain. She came back into the room to say that an ambulance was on its way. At that point, she looked really worried and her face went white. Alan and Charise left just as the ambulance man arrived. It was an ambulance car rather than a van and the driver (an Irish guy called Ian) came into the house to assess her. He gave her a clean bill of health. Phew.
