In Infinity
We were going to have a day trip to Tallinn, but Linda Lines Express sent a text message yesterday telling that all ferry trips are due to be cancelled today because of the strong wind. We'll have to use our tickets sometimes later. We drove to Helsinki instead and spent a wonderful day there. One of the highlights was Yayoi Kusama's exhibition in the HAM Helsinki Art Museum. In Infinity is very inspiring and energising exhibition! The retrospective covers Kusama’s oeuvre from her early career in the 1950s to the present. Large-scale installations in which the viewer becomes part of the artist’s imaginary world were stunning. Hopefully I'll have a change to see Kusama's works once again before January. Preferable when the place wouldn't be as crowded as today.
Before leaving home we went to Lauttasaari to see the extra low sea level in Gulf of Finland. The sea level is exceptionally low now, so low that in some places people can walk to the nearest islands on the coast. We walked to the Sisä-Hattu island. Wind was very very brisk! It was great (although cold) experience. I added an extra shot.
+4°C, cloudy
