whale in the harbour

Its a young male fin whale which has beached itself in Baltimore harbour today. The poor thing is dying. I took this picture this afternoon, the sun was hot and there were crowds of people there to see it.
We went back again this evening and its a different sight altogether, its back burned and bleeding, patches of skin missing and the water all around it stained red with its blood.
It made me feel so sad ....
