I suspected that the bald eagles at the Conowingo Dam might be hard to photograph, but the things barely sit still. Hard work, and not too successful on the photographic front. And yet they were, of course, worth every minute of the drive north to see them. Apparently I was a little early in the season--I saw only 8, but at the height of the season (winter) there are hundreds. Another day trip?

This one is an adolescent, which is what I mostly saw today, but one of the extra photos proves that there were some adults there. The other extra photo shows the very surprising harvest in the garden today.
