Music week - blowing my own trumpet

This is my Getzen custom large bore.

I've owned this trumpet for 27 years - it took me through all my grades and jazz improvisation classes. It's followed me around a great deal of Europe and played at many an Officers' Mess dinner - it plays Hootenanny and all the big band staples pretty much by itself.

My 13 year old boy is following in my footsteps with a recent distinction at Grade 7 - yes I'm a proud dad!
