Trouble Down Below
Out at the back of 7am - the day of the big boat lift. Although there were no major mishaps, the day didn’t go well; too many new cradles requiring lengthy adjustment, an old boat being lifted onto a loader which held us up, and a boat which was so beamy we had to send out for new slings (it gathered quite a crowd as you see). By the time that I got lifted at 3:30 we were already running two and a half hours late. When we eventually finished it was after 7pm and I was frozed, knacked and famished so I was.
But there was a fire in the hearth and Boeuf Bourguignon filling the gaff with a delicious aroma. Always good to have a happy end to the day. There you go - a lesson from life. Happy endings matter.
