Blue Arches
Visiting the National Museum of Scotland today to take snaps and do sketches for the adult ed course on abstract art. In this pleasure dome you could wander for hours seeing new and different 'stuff' of every variety. What struck me most (ouch) was the architecture of the building more than its contents; and when I think back to earlier Blipfoto postings I realise how much I am drawn to the structures and colours of buildings, whether they're decrepit or spanking modern. In our next session we'll be drawing inspiration for our art productions from our snaps and sketches. I'm pretty sure that toddlers and chimps make their art without all this palaver.
