Surprisingly, Mrs TD allowed me to photograph her working on the second incarnation of the Roslin panel of the Great Scottish Tapestry, but did insist that I crop out the small portion of her head that was in the frame. The original panel was stolen from an exhibition a while ago, and some of the girls have never been very keen on repeating the project. While I agree with their point of view and think that a full size photograph of the panel should be displayed in recognition and acceptance of the history of the project, I do think the new one is an improvement on the original.
