Beginnings

Today saw the start of stitching on our panel of The Great Scottish Tapestry. The brainchild of author Alexander McCall Smith it will end up over 120 panels extending over 130m. There will be 6 of us stitching this 1m panel over the next 9 months with breaks for tea, wine and cake ;-)

It'll be a tapestry just as the Bayeux Tapestry is called a tapestry but is actually embroidery. Confused? You will be.
