A BIG outing!

Today Cathie and I decided to go to Kirby Lonsdale for the day.
We parked at the bridge and walked into town at Toby pace which was quite slow with all those smells and other people and dogs! We even got to meet a biker with their helmet on and an older lady with a walking stick!!
Had lunch in a small cafe. Toby was fairly good and sat most of the time on one of our laps and only occasionally made for a taste of our scone. After we walked around town and headed upstream, through the wood, round some fields and back down the road into town.
Toby was very tired as we walked back down toward town and would jump up crying at our heals but he was too nosy to close his eyes when I carried him. Back in town and we had afternoon coffee in the bakery. It was then that he finally fell asleep. So we had to stay still for a long time and have another coffee ;)
On the way back to the car we walked along the waters edge and even persuaded him to dip his toe into the water.
It was a lovely, fun day. :)
