I would like to give Miles a shout-out for not crying or whining on the car ride home tonight. Typically there are a lot of "mama's!" or yelling or crying on the drive home. He doesn't quite understand why I can't hold him while we drive. My new thing on our short commute home is to detail out EVERYTHING I see - Constant talking seems to calm him down. And we've also started counting down from 10 once we pull onto the street to our house...he starts saying "house" repeatedly as soon as I start the countdown.
