Passing by
I had to visit Cardigan today and with plenty of time on my hands I took my camera to the river bridge just to the north of Newport. The tide was at it lowest and with a vast are of mudflats available the birds were widely dispersed. Plenty of seagulls and Mallard but little else. I did spot a single Ibis with the binoculars but well out of range of my camera so after an hour I decided to hobble back to the car and head towards Cardigan.
I was about to pack the camera away when this large Grey Heron decided on a fly past and I grabbed the best series of shots of a Heron in flight I have every managed. Made my day.
