Another desperation shot.  I "stole" this from the neighbouring lodge as I have blipped everything we have in flower.  It is a type I think are called "Lace Caps" which are varieties (in this case) of H macrophylla.  An interesting point about macrophylla hydrangeas is the flower colour can change according to the pH of the soil.  Blue on acid soils and pink on alkaline.  The colour change is due to the PH affecting the availability of aluminium.

With regard to the work at the Lodge we are finished!!  Well not quite true we need a little more trim bought but to all intents and purposes it is finished.  All that remains is the big clear up and removal of the old wood and our tools.   It is good we are finished as we have guests coming in on Saturday.
