Variegated Fritillary

This variegated fritillary was in my butterfly garden this morning.

It was glorious when I went outside about 10am. Sunshine, 61ºF/16ºC and I was in heaven!  I sat out for a couple of hours.

I spent my afternoon finishing my research on the various candidates on our ballot.  I have my sample ballot all marked and so am ready to go do early voting.  Now if I could just get all the ugly campaign ads to disappear too!

My Confederate Rose has plenty of buds but so far only a couple of blooms.
