And they're off!

We sat up late last night watching the Olympics Opening Ceremony and loving every minute of it. What a huge relief that it was so well done - creative, colourful and impressive, or at least, we thought so. Let’s hope it’s a foretaste of a successful and happy Olympic Games, despite all the doubts and general pessimism.

The two Ds moved on to their next billet this morning, but at least they’ve managed to get tickets for a couple of events before they head back home. And we’ve moved to our friend Bridget’s place, after vacating ours to make way for the two families who arrive tomorrow. Maria came in for an extra day and we’ve been up and down the stairs a thousand times, making beds and putting the (almost) final touches.
