Behind You

Shortly after I got really interested in digital photography, I was talking to a watercolor painter. She had started taking photos to help improve her painting, and she told me what one of her teachers had said to her: "Usually the best scene is right behind you."

Wise advice -- I can't count the number of times it's been true. It was a beautiful sunset this evening, and a few minutes after the sun vanished beneath the horizon, I turned around and saw this.
