It rained heavily during the night and continued to do so during the morning. The decision was made to take a leisurely route home via the mountains.

We stopped for lunch in Betws-y-Coed and O and I took a ride on the miniature railway. These old carriages line part of the route and have been converted into a cafe and offices by the society that maintain the line.
