Hill Inlet, Whitsunday Island

I think it just cried out for colour, though b&w (see extra) is also pretty impressive imho.  The crystal clear water was perfect for swimming.  We also saw a lemon shark, a few manta rays and while swimming from the cruise boat anchored offshore on the side of the bay behind the photo we came across a giant turtle.

The white, silica rich sand is incredibly squeaky to walk on. Although according to the Guinness Book of Records it is not the whitest sand in the world this place has the whitest sand
