Irlam Station

Rather a fine mural sitting behind the Liverpool bound platform at Irlam station.

These sections are only part of it. It portrays the history of Irlam. The Manchester Ship Canal is in focus here, including a surveyor plotting its course and the (mainly) Irish navies who dug the big ditch. Also the CES Soap and Candle works, the Steelworks, and the construction of the Cheshire Lines railway.
