A poem - photo is Hanworth
Seeping in through Summer's seams, the wisps of Autumn fall
A slice of simple silence, shaded layers, cover all,
From coastal village outposts to my daily port of call.
Silhouetted solidly, behind the smoky grey,
The Norman tower, permanent, stands tall is there to stay,
A symbol of a history more distant every day.
Engagingly the mist envelops cattle as they roam,
And game dart from the hedgerows, on my weary journey home,
Lanes of narrow countryside, no more a car free zone.
Bus fine. A regular day. Head hurts, but still managed a short poem to make a change! :)
