Lego Colosseum

Come on... how could I not go and have a look at the world's biggest lego colosseum??

It feels faintly blasphemous, to bumble through the darkened Nicholson Museum and weave your way past Egyptian mummies, Etruscan pottery and whatnot without a sideways glance, just so you can stare, awestruck and humbled, at the magnificence that is Lego.

I blame this outrageous behaviour on my deprived, lego-less childhood. More Egyptology, mythology etc than you could poke a stick at....but Lego? Meccano? Not one skerek.

This may also explain why I am rubbish at DIY and assembly of Ikea products.

For lego junkies, there are a couple of extra photos here, showing you some details of the interior, right down to lego slaves manacled in cells beneath the arena floor level. (Personally I like the idea that someone felt the need to invent a lego t bone steak.)
