Abbott's Wood.
Today I went out for a bike ride with me old mucker Ian. We set out at 10.00 when the morning mist had dissipated, and headed for Lewes. It really is a delight to spin round the country lanes of East Sussex on a benign autumn morning. You really have to take advantage before the weather turns rotten.
Lewes and back - 53 miles. We cycled past Middle Farm (see yesterday's entry), and didn't go in, which I thought was a noble effort.
Took a short cut through the woods and enjoyed views like this one, though it has to be said, woodland tracks aren't great for road bikes with skinny tyres!
