If walls could talk....
This old cotton shed would tell some stories! This property has been in Hub's family over 100 years. These fields were cotton fields and the equipment and barrels were stored in this old shed.
In more recent history, it has served as a hunting and camping shed. My boys so loved camping over here. Although they could see the lights of the house through the trees, they felt a million miles away.
When our youngest, Creative One, was about 12, he and a city buddy decided to camp all alone in the Cotton Shed. There were boards above them that formed a kind of loft. The next morning, Creative One was awakened by something dripping on his face. To his horror, it was blood! Needless to say, they freaked out and ran home! Upon investigation, it seems an owl had a nest in the loft. During the night, it had made a kill and eaten his prize above the boys! There was a blood trail leading into the loft. Names of some of the frequent campers are still burned into the wood, as, no doubt, are their adolescent conversations. Where was a game cam when we needed one! haha I would have loved to have seen that morning scene!
