Autumn chestnuts

A lovely day out meeting up with my aunt and uncle at Basildon park - great fun walking and exploring around the grounds, picnic and a play with the ball run.

We found a huge tree which was shedding chestnuts and spent a while collecting them. Both children loved finding them, looking at their spiky and silky shells and then putting them in our treasure bag. Such a beautiful Autumn setting.

We even managed a tour of the house too!
