Clematis.

This is the first of the blue clematis to open in the local gardens. It is just catching the early morning sun.

It grows up the white painted side of a wooden archway in the entrance to the gardens. Covering the archway is the tiny  pink 'Sweetheart Rose'  called Cecile Brunner, and when the clematis and the rose are flowering together, it is an absolute picture.
