South Landing
This symbol/motif is situated on the cliff top just above South Landing on Flamborough Head. I think it commemorates lifeboat personnel lost at sea, (there is an RNLI boat stationed here) but I'm not sure.

Later........fellow blipper Pleach reports :
"I looked it up -- It's part of a sculpture trail and represents the longswords. ‘The Flamborough longsword dance is a living tradition going back hundreds of years. The team traditionally dance on Boxing Day starting about 1pm and dance at all the pubs in Flamborough finishing in Dog And Duck Square.’"
