Climbing to the sky!

Is this a replacement for Jack and the Beanstalk! Not sure what it is but it was nearly as tall as the house and the flowers are weird (wanted to put the two on but have to work out how to do this!) Could it be an agave? This was taken in a hurry as we had been busy, just after we set off for walk it decided to rain and neither of us had waterproofs or umbrella! Well it was ok when we set out!
