Elm Hill....again!

Still there at the top of my 'favourite places in Norwich' list! This was on our way back to the car, after a day of shopping. We were even too exhausted to visit the Bridewell museum, although in the time left we wouldn't have done it justice.

So we started the day later than I had planned. My alarm was off, and i didn't wake until 8! I needed a lie in after some early mornings this week, and bad headaches which had been draining. Thankfully they have gone now. I woke Moll & H and by 10 we were ready to leave, heading first to the big Tesco at Sprowston. Mollie then spent an hour sorting out the purchase of a new phone. It was a success and she is now very happy (but needs more work to pay for it!).

From there we drove to the Riverside for Hobbycraft and a few other shops. The traffic and parking was horrendous and didn't improve all day. Eventually we got to park and shop, getting some Christmas crafty bits. I have so much of this stuff, so many ideas but so little time to do it. It doesn't stop me buying cheap bits though!

Another torturous journey across the cit to park at Anglia Square, then more shopping after lunch at McDonalds. It's not as cheap as when they were little and ate happy meals. Everything is sweet chilli these days. It was edible nevertheless and a surprisingly good cup of tea! We sat outside on the very mild October day, listening to a talented singer/guitarist busking outside Primark. A couple of Christmas presents bought, to now be hidden and forgotten about! We walked back slowly, via Elm Hill. There was a small boy in front of us, and we think he was playing 'don't stand on the cracks'. Discussing it, we decided you are never too old to play....of course we then all found ourselves doing it!

Home about 5.15 and Jon was home. Shopping list made and with no scouts tonight, I had him to help with the shopping, which was nice. Mollie cooked pizza and since getting back I've done a bit with beads, wire and stuff.

Now enjoying Abba on vinyl in my conservatory with Ralph. They are watching Shaun of the Dead for the millionth time in the lounge. I dont hate it, but it just isn't my thing!

A day with Henry tomorrow. Hopefully we will get down to the arcades with our 2p's. Good proper mother and son bonding stuff!!!
