The underside....
.....or the rear side of a rhododendron, a little bonus of a teeny weeny fly sheltering from the horrendous weather we have had to day.....sunshine, wind, hail, rain - repeat, repeat and repeat. Talking of a frost for the morning.
Well, what an awesome fun time we had last night - the food prepared by Sheryl was exceptional - we grazed from 5 pm to 10.30 pm and washed down with lovely liquids!! The gift left Sheryl speechless and tearful - not something we see very often. They were both overwhelmed with the messages/poems (after all, it was World Poets Day) then to open the final scroll was the icing on the cake.....talking of cake, her only bridesmaid made a delicious and large anniversary cake which finished off a memorable evening. We really are a unique group - friends from day one of high school (some of us go back even further).
This morning I woke up with gritty eyes, (not even any sign when I hit bed after midnight) - couldn't bear brightness, bloodshot and very very sore. Fortunately, I still had a doctors prescription drops from the last time this happened so quickly got drops in and slowly today they have improved but feel very heavy and sore still. No computer (blip) tonight.
The four of us went out for lunch at the local cafe The Stables (just over the paddock), then Jane & Graeme headed back to Christchurch later this afternoon.
Finals rugby tonight - our team Canterbury v Tasman - both South Island teams so really its a win win situation.
