Yesterday evening and night was quite busy and spectacular. First we unmoored a material barge alongside the Thialf. The current rates on location are high, sometimes easily exceeding two knots, making all manoeuvering quite difficult. Once disconnected, we brought the barge over to the Husky and went back to the Black Marlin to disconnect her from her mooring arrangement. This proved to be a struggle too, due to the current. But after some hours hard and concentrated work, everything was fixed. This morning the remaining visible signs of the action were still on our deck, waiting to be transported to the Thialf. Only one of our smaller suitcase wires was damaged and on this picture you can see our Spanish bosun Agustin coordinating the attempt to repair this with a sledgehammer (?) operated by Nyandang. Notice the difference in coverall seize between a very senior Spanish bosun and a very junior Malaysian A/B.
