Funky fungi

Some very funky looking fungi has sprouted in the lawn today.

We started the day with footie. Leo's team won 4-1 and lost 1-0. It was a very unpleasant experience this time as the opposing team in the second match were expert at sledging and reduced one of our lads to tears. And because these are all just friendly games really, one of the parents from the home side referees and that usually works well. But this time he was so biased it was unbelievable. Two defenders threw our striker to the floor right in front of goal and he just ignored it. Another bashed a ball out of play with his hand and he ignored that too. Our coaches said this side has a bit of a bad reputation and were still smarting because we knocked them out of the cup a few weeks ago so this was payback - but it is not a very good example to set! Not looking forward to playing them again when they come our way!

We were all very well behaved and resisted ref bashing at the time and tried to jolly the kids along but they were all a bit down whilst playing because the unfairness was so blatant. They were just glad to get off the pitch.

After footie we stopped off for lunch as we were all starving and Leo had a great wafer in his ice cream dessert!

Mum and I then popped out for a coffee to Tiverton in the afternoon. We got in a few steps in the lovely autumn weather and indulged in some window shopping.

There were so many lovely autumn leaves about that I may see if I can tempt Leo in to creating an autumn leaf snake on Sunday. I spotted this on Facebook and it looks like fun.
