Mayfield Gardens

We have just returned home from a wonderful visit to Mayfield Gardens near Oberon (just West of the Blue Mountains).  It was a great opportunity to meet up with some of my walking buddies from my Club Ped walking days.  This image was taken in the Birch Garden and it is without a doubt one of my favourite parts of the garden.

I look back on the eleven years that I ran the walking club as some of the happiest years of my life.  They were such a warm and generous group and so much fun.  It's always so heartwarming to meet up with them again and there are always stories to be told and memories to relive.
