Hayburn Wyke
More of the Cleveland Way: off towards Scarborough again, past the Radar Station and on to the steep climb down to the waterfall into the hidden, boulder-strewn cove of Hayburn Wyke. A lovely spot to sit on a rock and watch the waves; we mostly had the place to ourselves and we'd bought a flask of tea...! Afterwards we wandered up the valley, through the woods and had a ginger beer and a packet of scampi fries before strolling back, somewhat footsore, along the railway track...
(Note to middleman: we didn't find any rocks with pound coins in - again!)
