Hospital Day Five

I must say, that extra hour in the morning is not as good when it's in a hospital bed.

What a day it's been. Mama Bambi's birthday, which she has been telling us at least 1000 10,000 times a day.

She's been here for months (nowhere to send her) so all the staff know her, and they came in with a cake and sang to her. I knew the three other patients would probably give her a card, so I instructed JR to buy one with Bambi (or similar) on it. A puppet meerkat with big googly eyes wasn't quite what I had in mind, but it was a big hit. The old dear has had a hard life, and this is probably the most fun she's ever had.

I've really enjoyed my box set from Channel 4 called Framed. It's a Dutch production. Also like Ed Reardon's Week. I dozed through a whole ebook, and Spike Milligan 'In the Psychiatrist's Chair. That's an oldie!

Haven't had any wifi, so haven't been able to do any comments, but thanks for popping in to follow the saga.

Today's lunch was really bad - and I try to be positive about hospital food - it was called vegetable curry. It was unspeakable. Don't go large!

Rumour has it that I'm being allowed home tomorrow!
