Sunset through the oak tree

I went outside early this morning hoping to get a few bird photos but it wasn't to be.  

Instead I took a photo of the morning sun on the crepe myrtle leaves.  I also liked the way the pink dogwood was looking in the early sunshine.

I had Kent take my photo as I wanted to send it to my sister.  I appropriated these shoes from her when I was over there this summer.  They have a plum hue to them and there is a plum streak through my skirt.  

This evening I once again was outside for over an hour in hopes of a bird photo.  No luck.  I did hear a lot of squirrel squawking going on high in the trees though.
