Walk

We got a bus or two out to Balerno and walked along the Water of Leith walkway from the far end, eventually meeting up with Shandonner in the dells and finishing up with a cup of tea and a biscuit in the visitor centre at Slateford. Most of the way it was very good on the eye, lots of trees in various colours and stages of de-leafage, although that's a unfeasible amount of dreary new housing that's going up at Kinleith, on the site of an old industrial estate.

The kirk at Currie is by contrast very severe and elegant.
