Remembering
Friday and a day off, another "extended long weekend" in Navy speak.
Falmouth's First Poppy Laying took place at 1045 at the Remembrance Garden outside the Art Gallery.
Joshua and I attended, Joshua was invited to read the Kohima Exhortation, I read the opening Exhortation. The formalities over Joshua and I laid our family Poppy Crosses before a coffee and biscuits reception.
Already in shirt, tie, blazer and medals it was off to sell Poppies down town, very proud of Joshua who had his own collecting tray for his own sales.
Five and a half hours later it was home for the pair of us!
The evening was spent at the cinema watching the new 'Jack Reacher' film, Never Go Back.
A long but rewarding day.
