Celebrating Matariki

Today CJ's kindy celebrated Matariki.

The children performed some songs, starting with "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" in both English and Maori to celebrate the stars that signal the start of the Maori New Year.

They also performed a fruit haka before lighting the candles on the Matariki cake. Then the children and adults shared an pot luck lunch!

The children did so well - singing the different songs and doing all the different actions that went with them! It is wonderful to be able to be apart of these things and watch CJ grow up!
