On the rails

The first of today's three trains was a 2-carriage local train with a view out the front window. The last one was like the bullet train in the extra. 

Japan has a huge variety of trains but from the most high-tech to the basic ones they have two things in common: they're always on time and the seats swivel round so you're facing the front whichever direction it's going.

It's a pity that Japan Rail don't run the trains in the UK!
