Turning over a yellow new leaf

Yellow is today's colour theme in mine and Cath's series of snaps.

I was driving into Sowerby Bridge this morning when I saw how a tree was shining in the morning sunshine. It's leaves were a glorious yellow and initially I took a photo of it against the pale blue of the sky but as I walked closer for a different angle I noticed the leaves on the floor.

Here's the result which I found rather appealing!
