Ice and Fire
One of those rare days when you just don't know which photo to choose. The Evolène, Les Haudères, Arolla, Ferpecle, valleys are astonishing at the moment, with the early morning sun turning the larch trees into burnished gold. I had never been into the valley at Ferpecle up towards the Glacier du Mont Mine before. It is grey with silt, nestles turquoise pools, and has running streams, turning to ice at this time of year. The dominant peak above the valley is the Dent Blanche which I have put in as an extra. Otherwise, if you have time, I would really love to share this valley with you on:
