Spoooooooooky

So what was once a time of the year where we dooked for apples, stuck our faces in dangling treacle scones, spent hours carving turnips and went out guising is now a £300 million a year event. There's certainly lots of shops that make an effort to tastefully decorate their windows, but on my jaunt round  Sunny Stockbridge today I passed a Timpsons (key cutter) with a plastic moulded pumpkin in their window.

OMG seriously? Oh, look there's a plastic pumpkin, not even a turnip - that reminds me I think I'll get my broom re-thatched... hmmm, maybe it will work!
