A good start
"Hello darling!"- the cheerful greeting from Thailand at 630 am this morning that made a back to school day much less of an ordeal. They were both delighted. She showed B her trophies and rainbow outfit, B introduced her to her colleague. They chatted, they grinned and they arranged a FaceTime lesson for the weekend. Happy bubba.
she was quite pleased to go to school as she'd been told she could take her trophies and medals to show at circle time. It did mean we needed to drive, what with the homework pile, box for a fire engine and usual school bags!
I picked her up from school and we went straight to dance class. The teacher had arranged that all the kids would dress up and surprise the principal. We don't do Halloween but the remit had been "black and suitable to dance" so she was a star- one black, emergency jewelled tutu, a pair of sparkly tights and silver ballet shoes and a lovely handmade clip. They warmed up to the time warp! From class it was straight to band, again in fancy dress. This time she was a rainbow fairy. Rainbow leo and tights, turquoise pettiskirt and amazing rainbow braids with long ribbons & wings. She loved taking down her bun to show off the ribbons that had been wound in it all day. She didn't like how spooky all her friends were, bless her!
