Tree stump

I went to one of my usual favourite places today, but I turned right instead of left and I came across this tree stump.  It has clearly been in this spot for a while, and I suspect I will photograph it again because various plants were growing within it, as if it has been given a second chance at life.  The tide was almost in and the quietness was such a contrast to the noise of London.
