Wallace

Rather like this monument. It marks the spot where the house in which William Wallace was betrayed stood.
He was taken south, wrongly accused of treason ( " How can this be treason, when England is foreign to me ?"), and executed...........but his spirit lived on, and, within 9 years of his betrayal the work of his life was crowned with victory , and Scotland's independence was regained on the field of Bannockburn.
That spirit seems to have been found again...........I sincerely hope we can carry it through.
