South Shore, Blackpool

Both myself and Mrs MD love Blackpool, and we love the Illuminations.  When we realised this was the last week of the 2016 extravaganza we 'hot footed' it over there and had a walk along the promenade with Polly dog (she likes the illuminations as much as we do) :-)
Here the giant sized 'Ballroom Mirror Ball' entitled 'They Shoot Horses Don't They' (named after the film) is illuminated by various coloured lights producing a quite striking display.
Mrs MD spotted a rather stunning illuminated tram made to look like a  Wild West Train - maybe not quite KWVR - but very effective.
We finished off with a fish and chip supper from the award winning Whelan's in Lytham.  Great stuff :-)
