Back with a Burger!!

Well folks, I have been a bit MIA recently, but its time to get back into the swing of things again. I have recently returned to work, after a long and somewhat turbulent vacation. As much as I love being home and spending time with family and friends, not working for 10 weeks gets kinda boring after a while. I have returned to the Maasdam and will be cruising the Caribbean for the next 6 months or so. Hard life I know. I have been here for 2 weeks now, and have been spending that time getting to know the Casino, my colleagues and the crew, who I will spending my contract with. Not sure exactly how long my contract will be just yet. Anyway, things are good and I have settled into it again. For those of you who have followed my more recent blips, you may be happy to know, my head, and my heart have settled somewhat and I'm looking forward to a bright and happy future. Facing a few home truths, and putting the past behind me have helped. Some days are better than others, but overall I'm getting back to being ME again.

So we were in Fort Lauderdale today (home port), and I visited my absolute favourite Burger Joint for lunch, 5 guys. I honestly never knew it was here, but then I was only introduced to it on a recent visit to the States on my vacation (thanks Jen), so it may have been here all the time. I love this place, and they really do do the best burgers & fries I've ever had. It's so goooooooood!!!!!!

In case you're interested, we are on 2 week cruises out of Fort Lauderdale, stopping off in San Juan, St Thomas, St Kitts, Dominica, Barbados, st Lucia, Antigua, St Maarten, Tortola and Half Moon Cay(a little private island that Holland America owns in the Bahamas). Life could be worse I suppose. Nice to be back in the heat again, after the coldness of home.
