All is well

Had a bit of a worry this morning so Pierre and I decided it would be best to go to Vaison hospital to get checked out. I was seen by a lovely nurse to start with who took all my details, then a doctor who said we may have to go straight to Montelimar hospital (where I'm going to have the baby and where they are more equipped), but he said a midwife would be coming along to the hospital soon and that she would come and check me over. She was absolutely brilliant! So experienced and friendly and she was able to tell me pretty much straight away that the wee one was OK and that I'm fine too. She even did a scan and we got to hear the heartbeat. What a relief! You think you're fine and then when we got to hear the heart, I burst into tears! Just shows you how important it all is. The midwife said we'd done the right thing by coming to get checked and not to hesitate if we are ever unsure.

We treated ourselves to a Chez Blay sandwich afterwards and then went to SuperU to stock up on sweets for the trick or treaters. Luckily we did as there were loads of kids calling all evening. It was great to see them all dressed up and enjoying themselves.

We have been having loads of problems with our internet provider, SFR. The WIFI has been working off and on for about 3 months now. They've been fobbing us off, making excuses, saying it's the speed that's causing it to cut out, then finally they sent us a technician who didn't seem to have a clue and was telling us to get our cabling all changed (at our own expense) by an electrician. So, we switched to Orange last week, but were waiting to get the go-ahead to plug in the new box. We were told it could be a few weeks and I was getting more and more frustrated with the internet not being reliable - when you work from home, it's pretty important that it's on all the time! So, as a bit more good news for the end of the night, we get a text from Orange to say the box is ready to plug in! We followed the instructions and everything came on immediately and works a treat! I am soooo pleased!
