Setting sun....

Today we set off at 3am  to travel to Lundazi - due to the state of the roads we came through Vwaza nature reserve which is actually in Malawi!  The road though Vwaza was atrocious and it took many hours - we saw a few buffalo and kudu and lots of elephant dung, but the biggest problem was the tsetse fly - and of course I have an allergic reaction to them!  So all windows were closed tight and still they managed to get into the vehicle - I got bitten on the shoulder and of course it immediately started to swell!  A couple of others were also bitten but they did not react! When we reached the gate, the driver is supposed to go and sign in and out of the park - to get out of the car would have been a nightmare as tsetse flies were everywhere so the guy from the gate gave us the book to sign through the window!

We arrived in Lundazi late afternoon and found a nice enough lodge which was looking out to Lundazi river which is almost dry!  I went for a walk and the sun was setting.....

An early night once more!!
