Moules Mariniere

Looking forward to a bowl of moules mariniere this weekend as a special treat.
It's long been my simple weakness, and anytime I see it on a restaurant menu, my choice is written in stone almost.
On frequent visits to France, of course it's like heaven, for seemingly every restaurant, certainly in coastal areas will have moules on the menu.
I am not so sure that moules frites is my ideal, and I think I would prefer  baguette than a mug of chips to accompany them.  And of course, a glass of house wine.
At home ready prepared mussels in a bag are almost as good — in fact sometimes the mussels can be better and with less wastage. Either way I just know that  moules will figure on my menu somewhere this weekend
